My name is Sam Sprik and I am the founder and owner of Halcyon Events.
halcyon (hal-see-en) (adj.): denoting a period of time that is calm, peaceful, and full of joy.
I chose the name “Halcyon Events” out of the meaning of the word halcyon. When considering my “why” for creating this business, I came to the conclusion that my passion for wedding planning & coordinating stems from a desire to help couples maintain their peace (and sanity) throughout the wedding planning process.
Ultimately, I believe that the wedding planning process can and should be a time of peace and joy.
Firm believer that all love deserves to be celebrated regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or religion.
